ABOUT ANNIKA
Hi! I'm Annika
I have my sights set on a job in journalism, telling stories for individuals who don’t have the platform to themselves, but for now, I’m at Wartburg College studying Journalism & Communication. After my graduation in December, I can see myself settling down in a college town where I can continue to enjoy the hustle-and-bustle of college athletics and local journalism
I have been around autism all of my life, but my passion to speak on the topic only formed in the last few years. My brother, Luke (the handsome fellow I'm standing by), was diagnosed when he was two years old. While some people may assume that I know more because I’m the older sibling, Luke has taught me so much more than I’ll ever teach him. Now, it’s my turn to spread that knowledge.
When I’m not driving Luke crazy, I stay busy on campus by working for the newspaper, radio, and sports information department. In all three, storytelling is key, and that’s what I want to do here. Keep an eye on the website and I’ll try to teach you autism through the eyes of someone whose been around it as long as she can remember.
