The Ultimate Experience of Love: Larry Shollenbarger's Story

This long-form video testimonial features Mary Shollenbarger, whose husband Larry died while receiving services from Cedar Valley Hospice. This video was shown at the 2023 Margarita Nights 2.0 fundraiser, where we raised over $75,000. I scripted, produced, filmed and edited the video.

Release & Remember Television Commercial + Webpage

I edited and provided voiceover for the 2024 Release & Remember television commercial. Additionally, I created a specialty webpage to display stories of care for patients who died on Cedar Valley Hospice's program.

Cedar Valley Hospice Moments That Matter Messenger

Cedar Valley Hospice's eNewsletter focuses on providing educational content about hospice services, events and fundraising opportunities. I expanded this to include specialty eNewsletters for local churches and Cedar Valley Hospice volunteers. Since starting this role, our email open rate has increased to 52% (16% higher than the national average for healthcare organizations).

Cedar Valley Hospice Facebook Page

In July 2020, Cedar Valley Hospice had a high-potential Facebook page, with over 2,400 followers, but did not post frequently enough to work with Facebook's algorithm. I designed and wrote high-quality posts that set the standard for engagement. Additionally, I managed our LinkedIn and YouTube pages, and am currently in the process of creating a company Instagram.

Virginia Gay Hospital Advertising Plan

While at Impact Marketing, I served as the primary copywriter and campaign brainstormer for Virginia Gay Hospital. These two campaigns (orthopedic surgery and respiratory therapy) resulted in an uptick in referrals to these two programs, including particular success from the newspaper ads.

Advantage Administrators
Direct Mail Campaign

Advantage Administrators, a benefits company in Waverly, wanted a "hip and fresh" mail campaign to encourage younger employees to enroll in HSAs and FSAs. This mail campaign complemented a seprate campaign sent directly to HR employees at various local businesses. The QR codes used on the back of the mailers led to a unique landing page, allowing us to gauge interest.
